I got this to replace my 7 year old Braun Series 7 (Non-flex) shaver. I thought my old Braun was pretty good........Until I got the Braun Series 7 7020s Flex Electric Razor, which is a substantial improvement over the older Braun. I have been using the new one for about a week, so here are my impressions.1. Ergonomics: This shaver fits my hand well and the flex head conforms to my skin so I don't have to make as many passes. It also conforms well to my scalp so I can get a clean scalp shave in less time.2. Shaver head quality: Unlike my older Braun, the newly designed shaver head works well with coarse as well as fine hair, providing a closer and more even shave with fewer passes. With a dry shave (more about that later) I get a shave that almost rivals a razor shave, which is pretty good for an electric.3. Trimmer: You have to remove the shaver head and install the trimmer in its place (pretty easy). Some reviewers find this inconvenient, but I find that it works much better than the built-in trimmer on my older Braun. I can even trim my goatee with it, something that I could not do with the older Braun.4. Cleaning: Fast and easy. First remove the shaving head and rinse shaver and head under warm water (leave some water in the sink). Then install the head, put a small dab of baby shampoo on the head, immerse head (the shaver's, not your's LOL) in the water and run it for 5 or so seconds. Then remove the head to let it dry.5. Dry shaving: I use a home-made pre-shave (50% rubbing alcohol + 50% almond oil, but you can adjust or omit the alcohol if your skin is tender). Rub it on face, let it sit for a few minutes, then shave. This gives me the closest shave.6. Wet shaving: The shaver is water resistant. I tried wet shaving with the highly rated Cremo shaving cream and water, but didn't care for it. The result was close to the dry shave, nut not worth the extra prep. But you might have better luck. Conclusion: For $99 this shaver is hard to beat.
